Tatted Linked Ring

This pattern is a great beginner pattern; your student will learn rings, chains, picots, simple and multiple joins, and produce a piece of tatting that, with one row only, produces a nice edging, and with both rows, makes a nice bookmark or insertion.

Please feel free to print this out and give to your students.
Materials required: 1 needle/shuttle and 1 thread (2 for learning).

ABBREVIATIONS
R: Ring Ch: Chain j, +: Join
p, -: picot vsp : very small picot
cl: close ring prev: previous


The number in the center column indicates the numbered element in the diagram below.
Make all picots on rings very small EXCEPT for the centre picot.
